Call for Papers

Although almost all religions around the world, especially Islam, have the principles of belief and practice accepted by their adherents at the basic belief points, they have had religious understandings that have diverged from each other due to differences and reasons such as social, political, economic, cultural, geographical, interpretative, etc. over time. While the reason for these divergences sometimes originates from the text itself, carries epistemological value and gives very positive results in the cultural geography centered on that religion, sometimes it contains divergence on the basis of difference, creates the other and causes undesirable negative results.
The Jafari Application and Research Center established within Iğdır University and the Department of Philosophy and Religious Sciences of Iğdır University Faculty of Theology have been conducting studies on the subject both in Turkey and abroad for a long time. The I. International Symposium on Religious Understandings in Today's Islamic World, which will be organized jointly by Iğdır University and International Al-Mustafa University, is the result of these studies. On this occasion, we would be honored to see you, esteemed academicians and researchers, among us and to learn your valuable ideas on the subject.
